Dram Shop

Location: Missoula, MT
Services: Architecture, Interior Design, Historic Landmarks Approval
Contractor: Damian Mast
Located in the downtown historically designated hundred-year-old Missoula Mercantile Warehouse Building, the design for a new tap room and restaurant space for lovers of craft made beverages defers to the exposed twenty foot-tall brick walls and fir timbers. The proprietors sought a family friendly environment to showcase local and regional microbrews, ciders, and wines. We provided a bright and open arrangement of different types of seating areas on multiple levels with a range of colorful and contrasting finishes for the lofty space.

The walls are devoted to supporting the local arts scene as a rotating hanging gallery for photography and art. We selected a sustainable engineered lumber for the bartop in order to mimic the look and feel of the adjacent historic original fir floors.

We were pleased to have the opportunity to provide additional services including: Interactive virtual walk-thru renderings, interior finish and lighting design as well as fabrication drawings for custom cabinetry, fixtures, furnishings, and lighting.
